Being open to your eventual healing is more important than trying

to understand the "WHY" of suicide. Alan D. Wolfelt. We will never know the WHY of our child's decision for taking their own life, but we know they were in a very dark space and that it probably was literally a moment of madness.

We will always have a gaping hole in our hearts, but we can choose to take steps to help heal. Once you are over the shock, and can take cognizance of what has happened to you, then, you can look around at what you can do to help heal your broken heart.

I have participated in Breath work sound healing, Reiki, aromatherapy, had so many massages, and do yoga, walk and journal I have done lots of talk therapy and any thing else that I think will help with healing my broken heart.

This is the hardest journey I have ever had to endure, but I KNOW in my heart Dakota would not want me to be sad and miserable the whole time.

I choose to live in the light of her life, rather than in the shadow of her death.
