Intentional Healing: A Daily Walk

My healing journey through grief

That is what I have learned since losing my beautiful daughter Dakota. I have had to set an intention to heal my broken heart. No words, potion or magic or even God can take away this DEEP pain, but different things can make me stronger.

Healing is a journey that requires time, effort, and a lot of self-reflection. It is a process of coming to terms with our loss and learning to live a life without our child and doing so with grace. Intentional healing is the practice of being intentional and purposeful in our efforts to heal and grow.

One of the key components of intentional healing is taking a daily walk. This daily walk can be a physical walk, or it can be a metaphorical walk through our thoughts and emotions. By taking a daily walk, we are making a conscious effort to take care of ourselves and to prioritize our healing journey.

When we take a physical walk, we are giving ourselves the opportunity to connect with nature, to clear our minds, and to focus on the present moment. The physical act of walking helps to release tension and stress, which is essential for our overall well-being. It also helps us to tune into our bodies and to listen to what they are telling us.

The metaphorical walk through our thoughts and emotions is just as important as the physical walk. This is the time when we reflect on our experiences, our beliefs, and our thoughts. It is a time to let of of the guilt and the limiting beliefs that are holding us back from living a life of joy and fulfillment.

Intentional healing requires that we be honest with ourselves, stop the blame game and work on taking care of our bodies ,minds and souls. Yoga has been instrumental to my healing. Dakota and I had started our Yoga Teacher Training together and I have gone on to finish is for us, and that is why I do what I do. She is my inspiration.

Intentional healing is a daily walk that requires commitment and effort. It is a journey that will lead us to a place of peace, joy, and fulfillment hopefully, or at least a place of acceptance. If you want to join me with more intentional healing. Come to my retreat in Mexico.

I choose to live in the light of Dakota's life, rather than in the shadow of her death.
