The Horror of Child Loss

Grief and healing

I would love to write about this in the 3rd person. But I cannot. I live it everyday, and have lived it and since losing my daughter Dakota 8 January 2018.

The sadness of her loss is with me always. This is a hard walk that no parent should ever have to take, but it is mine. I had to choose either facing my grief head on, or losing myself to the numbing effects of alcohol or painkillers. ( Believe me, there is no pill that can take the pain away). I chose the former after trying the latter for a while.

Dakota and I had started our Yoga Teacher Training together, so I have gone on to finish it for us, and now share my love of Yoga and run retreats, honoring my daughter daily. I choose to live in the Light of Dakota's Life.

This year, I have the 2nd Radiant Renewal Retreat coming up Oct 26 to Nov 1 in Akumal Mexico.(I have rented a beautiful Villa right on the beach ) This lines up with the Day of The Dead, we celebrate our lost loved ones (think of the movie Coco). We do yoga daily and have sister circles, we dance, laugh and cry and strong bonds are formed. Join us. www.yogawitherinb.com
