The Journey to Finding “The Power to Live”
The healing power of Yoga

When I first started yoga, I was hesitant. My church didn’t approve, and I felt conflicted. Yet, something inside me kept drawing me back to the mat, even if I went months and years without attending a class. Despite my initial reluctance, I persisted, and slowly but surely, yoga began to transform my life. I started to take my 3 reluctant daughters with me.
Dakota and I decided to embark on our yoga teacher training together, which was an incredible experience. We both felt the powerful changes yoga was bringing to our lives, and we wanted to share that with others. Tragically, Dakota passed away in 2018. Though heartbroken, I made a promise to carry on our journey for both of us. I recently achieved my YTT500 certification, a milestone that feels both surreal and incredibly rewarding.
Learning about the Hindu gods along the way was fascinating and enriched my understanding of spirituality. Interestingly, this journey has also deepened my connection to Jesus and God, bringing a new sense of spiritual clarity and closeness to my faith. My anxiety has diminished greatly, and I’ve noticed significant changes in how I live my life, from how I speak to myself to what I value in my relationships. Yoga has forever altered my life’s course.
To share this transformative power with others, I am hosting the second Radiant Renewal Retreat in Mexico around the Day of the Dead. This retreat celebrates life, renewal, and spiritual connection. I’m excited that some of the ladies who came the first time have rebooked, and I look forward to creating a space where everyone can experience the same healing and growth that I have found through yoga and some other practices
I am offering 10% if you book by the 15th of June. You can come solo or share a room with a friend. Book Now
If you are ready to start practicing yoga, and you are here in Nanaimo, I will be starting up again at Neck Point and at Huddlestone Park as soon as it is warmer. Follow me on Instagram for updates. If you want to start an at home practice, I do offer online classes too.
