There are so many benefits of doing yoga. Just to name a few it, improves strength, balance and flexibility. It can relieve back pain and arthritis. It can improve your heart health and will help you sleep better. You will feel energized, less stressed and in a brighter frame of mind. This may not happen over night, but in time you will see and feel the benefits. Take a class for free and find out for your self.
Yes, you can, but like everything else, there is no magic pill. More importantly your body will be more flexible, subtle and you will have a better sense of well being, and you can develop more muscle tone.
Yoga is a practice for the body, mind and even spiritual for some people. There are many types of yoga, from very mild stretching classes such as meditation and Yin, to more vigorous classes such as Ashtanga.
It can be, depending on the type of yoga you decide to practice. Always check with your Dr. before starting any yoga or exercise practice.
This will depend entirely on you and your belief system. Personally I feel that Yoga has helped me in my Christian walk.
