Grief is a normal and natural response to loss, it is difficult and overwhelming .The physical and emotional pain can be unbearable, and it can be challenging to find a way to cope. I have found Yoga offer a safe and gentle way to navigate this difficult time. Dakota and I started our teacher training together, and now when I pull out my mat, I have her in mind, sometimes I smile, sometimes I cry.
Yoga is a mind-body practice that has been used for thousands of years to promote physical and mental well-being. These benefits make it a valuable tool for us grievers, as it can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while promoting healing and acceptance. It also has a spiritual component that can be helpful for us bereaved moms. I know personally, I often feel connected to Dakota on my mat, I take the time to pray and connect with God. It is a quiet, safe space that brings peace and calm to my mind. It helps with my of anxiety and depression.
This is a form of self-care and can provide a sense of community for those who are grieving if done in a group moms going through the same pain we are. My retreat is filling up, I have 9 spaces available left. If you do want to come and do yoga in a safe healing environment, please consider coming to Mexico for some Intentional Healing
